CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
SCIENCE
C Science: Crazy Kid Concoctions, Monday 10-11am
B Science: Studying the human body with interactive notebooking, hands-on activities, videos, and games, Tuesday & Thursday 10-11am
A Science: Forensic Investigations- using science to solve crimes, Monday & Wednesday 11-12pm
Wild Kratts: Students will learn about different animals using Wild Kratts episodes. Each class includes fact sheets and a craft.
Linux Users Group: Learning the concepts and basics of the Linux Operating System. A laptop is required for class. Suggested for grades 9th & up. Tuesday & Thursday 4:30-5:30pm
GEOGRAPHY
All About The 50 States: Going on a virtual road trip to learn about the 50 states using videos, notebooking, games, and songs. Tuesday & Thursday 1-2pm
Wonders Of The World: Students will learn about the ancient, modern, and natural wonders of the world. Wednesday 1-2pm
HISTORY
Ancient Civilizations: Each month we will study and complete an interactive notebook for Ancient Mesopotamia, Egypt, and Greece. Includes videos and hands-on projects. (Next semester will include Ancient Rome, China, and the Aztec World) Tuesday & Thursday 2- 3:30pm
Who Was?: Students will learn about 12 different historical figures. We will watch the episode in class, discuss the topics presented, and fill in their interactive notebook. Thursday 11-12pm
Before-It-Was-A-Movie Book Club: Read & Discuss fan favorites. Each book study will wrap with watching the movie and comparing it to the book. Assigned reading for homework. Monday 1-2pm
American Girl Club: Each month will focus on a different American Girl Historical Figure. Students will read the book, discuss the struggles the character faced, learn about the era, and complete a lapbook folder. After class work, students will socialize with crafts and activities based on that character/era, their dolls, and a tea party. (An American Girl name brand doll is not required for this class) Assigned reading for homework. Wednesday 2-4pm
Art Around The World: Class will focus on art from countries and cultures around the world. Students will then complete a similar style art project each class. Wednesday 2-3pm
Spanish Club: Learn and practice Spanish with videos, songs, and friends! Tuesday & Thursday
Math Games: Build your math skills while having fun with friends! All ages and abilities welcomed. Wednesday 3-4pm
Fiber Arts Group: Crochet, Knitting, Looming ~ beginners and pros welcome. Bring a project to work on or come to learn! (Adults welcome too 🙂 ) Tuesday 4-6pm
Open Game Play: Students (and Parents 🙂 ) are welcome to relax and play games at the studio. Bring a friend and your favorite snack! Thursday 4-6pm
